Film Series Continues in South Haven @ Foundry Hall

This winter, Foundry Hall presents a series of films each Tuesday from vintage to eclectic to international.  Donations are accepted at the door, but there will be no ticket sales.

Tuesday, November 30th the 1952 film "Ikiru" will be shown.  Considered by many to be Akira Kurosawa’s ("Seven Samurai," "Rashomon") greatest achievement, Ikiru presents the director at his most compassionate—affirming life through an exploration of a man’s death. Takashi Shimura portrays Kanji Watanabe, an aging bureaucrat with stomach cancer forced to strip the veneer off his existence and find meaning in his final days. Multi-award winner at the Berlin International Film Festival, Mainichi Film Concours, and Kinema Junpo Awards.
