South Haven hosts Myrtle Beach International Film Festival

South Haven will be hosting the Myrtle Beach Interenational Film Festival this October.  The event will bring over thirty films to the iconic Michigan Theatre in downtown South Haven, from film shorts to full length flicks.

Moore Theatres owner Carol Moore has spent the last year working on the logistics of bringing the MBIFF to the shores of Lake Michigan.  The fillms will be presented in "blocks" or groups so filmgoers will be able to see a variety of films in one seating. For example, Thursday's film block will be about two and a half hours, and will include six films of various lengths.

These independent films are not rated and will cover a broad range of subjects. Film previews and tickets are available through the Moore Theatres website.

For visitors coming to the area, the Victoria Resort offers lodging in South Haven. Located just a block from Lake Michigan and a short walk to downtown, there are cottages for group gatherings and bed & breakfast rooms available as well.  To make reservations, call 800-473-7376 or book online.
